In Similpal National Park you will get chance to meet these two big waterfalls which is situate within Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. Both Barehipani & Joranda waterfall in Orissa are very violent in nature during the monsoons which is evident from the lack of vegetation around the falls.

Barehipani Falls is India's 2nd highest and Odisha's highest waterfall. The height of the waterfall is 1309 ft just 55 mt less than Kunchikal Falls which is the highest waterfall of India. The falls originate from the river Budhabalanga. The water gushes out from a cliff. The entire course of the fall right from the cliff to the pool is breath taking. Large numbers of people are seen every year who visit the waterfalls for its mesmerizing beauty. It is a 2 tier water fall, which means the water falls in two drops.

Joranda falls is the 19th highest waterfall of India. It is in the core area of Similipal national park. It is very near to Barehipani fall. It is a straight and single drop waterfall

Kolkata is the nearest airport, situated 240 kilometres away. The state is well reachable via trains. The nearest rail junction is Balasore which is 6 kilometres away. The area is also navigable by road, the nearest cities being Rourkela – 160 kms, Jamshedpur – 140 kms. Barehipani & Joranda waterfall distance from Bhubaneswar is about 300 kms.
